Human rights activists from the Eastern Democratic Alliance celebrated Three Kings Day on January 6th in different parts of the region, and gave toys and school supplies to local children. The festivities were carried out in independent libraries in the homes of peaceful activists in Guantánamo, Samá Arriba, Banes, Holguín, Las Tunas, San Germán, and Antillas, and some were coupled with other cultural activities.

“The goal of this celebration is to rescue the traditions that have been ignored by the regime,” explained Eliécer Consuegra Rivas, president of the Eastern Democratic Alliance.

This is how we celebrated Three Kings Day, when the magic emerged in our people so that children may grow up believing in the miracle of creation. Step by step the delicate stream begins to overflow, and when we become a great river, nothing will prevent us too from reaching the mare nostrum of liberty.
