Hundreds Protest at Bus Stop in Lawton, Havana
By Alfredo Rodríguez Lobaina

During the early hours of the morning, more than 100 people gathered in the Lawton Bus Terminal, “10th of October” Municipality, to protest over the fact that urban buses had stopped circulating since 4 a.m. As a response to the protest, the administration claimed that they had received orders from Jorge Luis, the director of the Cuban Bus Company of Havana to stop their circulation until they were cleaned. This predicament could not be solved due to lack of water. The bus stop at Diezmero in the Municipality San Miguel del Padrón, and others have faced the same situation. State Security agents quickly attempted to put down the protest, which by 11 a.m. still continued.
