Uruguayan Youth Committee for Democracy in Cuba remembers victims of the Black Spring in Cuba

Montevideo, Uruguay. March 19, 2008.Cuban Democratic Directorate. Dozens of young Uruguayans, members of the Uruguayan Youth Committee for Democracy in Cuba gathered on March 9 in front of the Cuban Embassy, in the City of Montevideo, to remember the victims of the Black Spring in Cuba.

 

The youth organized a lunch in front of the embassy and together with a large number of demonstrators, asked for freedom for all political prisoners in Cuba and exhorted Cuban authorities to carry out the Viña del Mar agreements, signed by the regime in 1996. The youth also demanded free, multi-party elections without exclusions for the Cuban people.
