OAS PANEL ON HUMAN RIGHTS IN CUBA TODAY Activists to speak on the general human rights situation in Cuba today at the OAS Interamerican Human Rights Commission

Washington DC , 19 March 2015. Cuban Democratic Directorate. The only public hearing on the human rights situation in Cuba to be held by the Interamerican Human Rights Commission of the Organization of American States (OAS) will take place today in Washington DC at 5:45 pm in the Ruben Dario room of the OAS building. The hearing will be broadcast live, starting at 5:45 pm. The link to view the hearing can be found at: //www.oas.org/en/iachr/ This is the only public hearing on the human rights situation in Cuba to be held by the OAS before the upcoming VII Summit of the Americas on 10-11 April in Panama City. Recently exiled Cuban opposition leader Sara Martha Fonseca, who testified before the US Congress in February, and human rights activists Janisset Rivero and John Suarez, will speak before the Commission on the general human rights situation in the island. ###
