Former Cuban prisoner of conscience Ciro Alexis Perez Casanova arrested again and taken to an undisclosed location; alert the international community for his life. Renowned former prisoner of conscience Ciro Alexis Casanova Perez has just been rearrested by Cuban State Security, according to a report received from the known human rights activist, Yris Tamara Pérez Aguilera by telephone, a few moments ago to the Cuban Democratic Directorate. "[Cuban] State Security came looking for him this afternoon at his home and without any explanation he was taken to an undisclosed location. At the moment we do not know where he is. We are alerting international public opinion to raise their voices, for this our brother who just nine days ago was released from prison," said Yris Tamara Pérez Aguilera, leader of the Movement for Civil Rights “Rosa Parks”. Ciro Alexis Casanova Pérez, is an activist of the Orlando Zapata Tamayo National Resistance Front (Front OZT) who was sentenced to a year of unjust imprisonment and was declared a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International last April 2, 2015. The Cuban Democratic Directorate joins this warning and calls on the international community, the press, human rights organizations, particularly Amnesty International, to denounce this fact and demand the immediate release of Ciro Alexis Perez Casanova, and hold the Castro regime responsible for what may happen to this brave former Cuban prisoner of conscience. ###
