FAST IN SUPPORT OF CUBAN PRISIONERS OF CONSCIENCE

Students and members of the Miami community will gather at Florida International University (FIU) to carry out a fast in solidarity with Víctor Rolando Arroyo and Félix Navarro Rodríguez who are currently on a hunger strike in protest for the mistreatment they have suffered in prison. They came together at the Food Court area of Florida International University on October 4^th during the highly trafficked hours of 11am-1:30pm. Various media outlets were present to witness dozens of students unite in support with these prisoners of conscience.

In this event they joined Sahilí Navarro and Sonia Álvarez Campillo, the daughter and wife of Felix Navarro Rodriguez respectively, who also carried out a fast today. The two families of the prisoners will travel TOGETHER to Holguin and Granma to visit Arroyo and Navarro, since they were transferred from the Provincial Hospital of Guantánamo on October 3^rd. The family members say they will not separate.

In addition, an international campaign has been initiated which demands:

1. That they be transferred to prisons in provinces where they live.
2. That their human rights be respected.
